About Gay Men's Yoga
Gay Men's Yoga is a private yoga studio located in Collingwood, in inner-city Melbourne, Australia.
Established in Melbourne in 2001, Gay Men's Yoga became Australia's first dedicated Gay Men's Yoga studio, providing a welcoming, supportive and inclusive environment where men can experience authentic yoga in a personal and private setting.
The focus of Gay Men's Yoga is one-on-one private sessions, including yoga, yoga massage, stretch therapy, meditation and progressive relaxation. I also offer guidance and support for men across physical, emotional, mental and spiritual wellbeing—for those who wish to explore more deeply.
Gay Men's Yoga also offers small group classes for those who enjoy practising with like-minded people. These sessions are relaxed, supportive and intentionally intimate, with a maximum of eight participants.
For more than two decades, Gay Men's Yoga has provided a dedicated space where men can experience authentic yoga in a light-hearted, welcoming and inclusive environment. Although the studio was created specifically for gay men, men from all walks of life are welcome. Many students identify as gay, while others simply prefer learning with a male teacher or appreciate the privacy, professionalism and personalised approach that Gay Men's Yoga offers.

The primary style practised at Gay Men's Yoga is Raja Yoga, a traditional and therapeutic form of yoga known for its restorative and holistic benefits. This approach works deeply through the body, mind and emotions, supporting overall wellbeing while encouraging self-awareness and personal growth.
During each session we explore postures designed to gently stimulate and support the body's internal systems. Combined with conscious breathing and deep relaxation, this practice encourages the release of tension and promotes a renewed sense of vitality and wellbeing.
With consistent practice of Raja Yoga—often referred to as the "Royal Path" of Yoga—you can develop greater self-awareness, reduce stress and become more grounded, confident and resilient.
